A symbol of health and the globe on the virtual screen.

Constant fatigue, unwillingness to cope with even the simplest household chores, difficulties at work associated with loss of concentration and fatigue – all this looks familiar, doesn’t it? It seems that you need a little more rest, and everything will pass, but even rest does not help. This is chronic winter fatigue, and why it occurs and whether it can be overcome – will tell Valery Savanovich, founder and owner of the online medical laboratory Lab4U.

Manifestations of chronic winter fatigue

It all starts long before the first snow – back in autumn. With the onset of cloudy, gloomy weather, a reduction in daylight hours, a change in the diet, from which fresh fruits, vegetables and berries disappear, a special psycho-emotional state arises. He is characterized by mood swings, which are always in the direction of deterioration, lethargy, lethargy, cognitive disorders, which make it increasingly difficult to cope with work or study. A person complains of loss of concentration, memory impairment, the severity of any intellectual loads, whether it’s a report at work, exam preparation or even reading a favorite book.

Most often, the advice that a person with complaints of constant fatigue learns sounds like “Get together, pull yourself together”, “Keep a positive attitude!” or “Don’t be lazy!”. But it’s not about laziness or lack of positivity. This condition often lasts until the end of March – and all because it has external causes.
